About the Role

Cuscal Limited is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company complies with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations, industry codes, and standards. They will also have experience in building risk and compliance maturity and capability across the first and second lines of defence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor the implementation of Cuscal's compliance framework to support the company in complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and embed initiatives to ensure sustainable practices, including providing information, training, advice, and tools to the first line of defence.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of and reporting on Cuscal's frameworks, policies, and standards for managing compliance risks.
  • Support the AML/CTF Officer in discharging responsibilities, including completing and submitting reports to AUSTRAC.
  • Oversee and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the Compliance Management across the organization.
  • Actively participate and provide input to change initiatives and projects as they relate to compliance management.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in operational risk and compliance roles, in the financial services sector.
  • Solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations, industry codes, and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in building risk and compliance maturity and capability across the first and second lines of defence.
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build effective workplace relationships.
