About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring regulatory developments, providing timely analysis and insights to stakeholders, developing and implementing strategies to influence regulatory policies and frameworks, building and maintaining effective relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders, assessing regulatory risks and impacts associated with business operations, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across all aspects of the organisation's operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor regulatory developments and provide timely analysis and insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to influence regulatory policies and frameworks in alignment with the organisation's objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
  • Assess regulatory risks and impacts associated with business operations and implement measures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks effectively.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in energy regulation or a related field, with a thorough understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks and processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing regulatory compliance and advocacy initiatives.
