About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to join our team as an Energy Lawyer. The role involves advising on the regulatory aspects of the retail energy sector, specifically compliance with energy legislation, codes, and guidelines.

You will be working closely with regulators to ensure that our business is compliant with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on compliance with the National Energy Retail Law and Rules.
  • Develop and implement regulatory compliance frameworks and policies.
  • Review and draft contracts, customer terms, and other retail documentation for regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admission to practice in Australia.
  • 8+ years post-admission experience in energy law, with a focus on retail energy regulation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Energy Retail Law and Rules, AER guidelines, and related state-based frameworks.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
