Workplace Relations and Safety Professional

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong track record in workplace relations and safety to join our team.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on employment contracts, enterprise bargaining, unfair dismissal claims, discrimination matters, and work health and safety laws.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work with experienced partners and contribute to the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting employment agreements and policies;
  • Advising on and assisting clients in collective bargaining and industrial action;
  • Defending unfair dismissal, breach of award, and adverse action claims;
  • Providing guidance on legislative requirements and award conditions;
  • Representing clients in discrimination matters;
  • Investigating workplace incidents and providing WHS advice;
  • Implementing employment arrangements in transfer of business situations;
  • Developing and delivering training programs on workplace relations and safety;
  • Representing clients in litigious matters, including attending conferences, instructing Counsel, and conducting hearings;

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in workplace relations and safety;
  • Proven expertise in handling workplace relations and safety matters, including dispute resolution and litigation;
  • A proactive approach to legal practice, with a focus on innovative solutions and excellent client service;
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities;
  • High legal standards, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong analytical skills, with a solutions-focused mindset;
