Job Description:

This role is focused on driving excellence across Australia and New Zealand, encompassing quality management, operational resilience, and business process optimization. The ideal candidate will lead the integration of our Quality Management System (QMS), foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure seamless operations across our warehousing, production, and distribution network.

The position requires strong leadership skills to elevate quality assurance, resolve claims effectively, and streamline processes. This individual will champion ISO 9001 QMS and FSC standards, ensuring full compliance and retention of external certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the ANZ Quality Team, setting clear objectives and building future capability.

  • Shape and execute strategies to improve quality assurance, resolve claims, and optimize business processes.

    • Champion ISO 9001 QMS and FSC standards, ensuring full compliance and retention of external certifications.

    • Establish robust review processes, stakeholder engagement forums, and quality scorecards to track performance trends.

      • Orient customer claims and supplier quality resolution process, ensuring timely, transparent, and effective outcomes.

      • Partner with key customers and suppliers to strengthen relationships, address issues, and co-develop improvement strategies.

        • Provide expert guidance on quality for warehousing, production, and product issues across the DC network.

        • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training programs, and audit frameworks to embed best practice.

        • Lead initiatives to minimize scrap, rework, and defective inventory.

          • Contribute to continuous improvement and Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) projects.

          • Drive root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to build systemic improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related Business discipline (preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years in quality management, ideally within manufacturing and/or regional supply chains.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS, FSC systems, CTQ performance parameters, and auditing.

  • Experience with claims and inventory systems, and proven ability to optimize cross-functional processes.

  • Influential stakeholder manager with the ability to engage across boundaries and build trusted partnerships.

  • Proactive, resourceful, and accountable, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.

  • Competent with spreadsheets, databases, and technical product information systems.
