Our team seeks a skilled Purchasing Strategist, responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of Engineering Steel products. Key responsibilities include developing and executing sourcing strategies, maintaining optimal inventory levels and collaborating with internal teams.We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong market awareness and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with expertise in the Engineering Steels industry. Additional requirements include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Engineering Steels
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and support sales forecasting
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage international supplier relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts
  • Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Shipping, Warehouse, etc.)
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Engineering Steels industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and sourcing practices and processes
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and divisions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and adapt to changing market conditions
