About the Role

As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality designs for our upcoming $450m Water Infrastructure project in regional NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and control the delivery of project design to ensure quality, completion, and project objectives.
  • Select and engage external design partners, monitor their performance, and manage deliverables, costs, and timeframes.
  • Manage the design approval process according to project requirements and program.
  • Prepare budgets and schedules for design delivery, manage costs, and report progress.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Supervise subordinate design staff and provide leadership and mentoring to develop their skills.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Building, Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  • 5-10 years' experience in technical management roles on significant projects.
  • Demonstrated competencies in Head Contract and Subcontract understanding and interpretation.
  • Strong stakeholder management with major consultant partners.
  • Awareness of risk management principles and how design can impact operational risk.
  • Proficient skills in relevant computer software packages.
