Accounting Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, conducting bank and credit card reconciliations, and overseeing end-to-end payroll including superannuation, payroll tax, and work cover.

You will be responsible for lodging superannuation and managing workflow, preparing and lodging ATO activity statements and P&L/balance sheet reconciliations, and producing monthly reporting including cash flow.

Additionally, you will mentor and develop junior staff, assist with financial audits and reviews, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements
  • Relevant degree or diploma in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Experience in public practice
  • Tech-savvy with ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Prior experience with Xero and intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
  • Public practice experience preferred
  • Experience managing multiple high-volume clients
