About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at HammondCare in Adelaide.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals with dementia by focusing on capability and capacity building.

This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programmes and training initiatives for staff, caregivers, and other stakeholders involved in dementia care.

The goal is to equip the team with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to deliver exceptional, relationship-based care and to foster a supportive and enabling environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives and making recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop solutions
  • Maintaining accurate records of training activities and participant feedback
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to staff to support their professional development

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in the delivery of training programs in a face-to-face setting and online
  • Proven experience in training and education, ideally within a healthcare or residential care setting
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong learning agility and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with training technologies and software
  • Current Australian driver's licence with a safe driving record and willingness to travel intra- and interstate

Working Arrangements

This role is offered as a maximum term contract up to 30 June 2028. The position is based in Adelaide, working out of our office in Daw Park, with opportunities for remote work.
