Junior Business Development Professional

A rare opportunity exists to join a global investment manager with assets under management exceeding $600 billion across various asset classes including equities, high-yield credit & ESG.

About the Position

As part of a professional and intelligent team, you will work alongside an Executive Director in Melbourne. Key responsibilities include promoting the company's investment philosophy, portfolio construction principles, and investment products (wholesale and retail) to prospective institutional investors, financial advisors, and family offices.

  • Undertakes and manages outbound sales campaigns over the phone and in-person as directed by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Assists in preparing and presenting workshops, professional development days, events, and seminars for intermediaries.
  • Monitors fund flows for the state and assists regional managers with reporting, meeting preparation, and follow-up including competitor analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a finance-related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Financial services experience preferably in funds management.
  • Good working knowledge of the investment management industry, markets, and a broad understanding of the funds management environment is essential.
  • Good understanding of multiple asset classes.
  • Presentable and articulate.
  • Experience using Morningstar Direct is highly desired.
