Allocation Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and analytical professional to take on the role of Allocation Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective allocation of retail stock, driving sales through the optimal distribution of inventory across various channels.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor sales and inventory performance and maintain replenishment systems parameters to ensure appropriate stock levels to achieve sales, inventory turnover, and gross profit margin.
  • Develop and execute a distribution strategy that supports and enhances merchandise, marketing, and financial strategies.
  • Recap, evaluate, and recommend seasonal performance opportunities by style, class, and department.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports detailing key performance indicators.
  • Provide timely delivery reports to stakeholders.
  • Support post-season review analysis and maintain system data integrity.
  • Manage line cards for core lines and allocate stock to online channels effectively.
  • Maintain the Margin Report by making necessary adjustments, including changes in style numbers, costs, RRP's, and delivery dates.
  • Communicate forward delivery dates and exceptions to relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with production teams on forecasts, retail pricing, and delivery updates.
