Aerospace Engineer

HeliMods is a leading aerospace technology company that operates from a state-of-the-art facility on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Our team is passionate about innovation and growth, and we're seeking a talented Aerospace Engineer to join our dynamic environment.
As an Aerospace Engineer at HeliMods, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting new products for our civil and military clients, building new organisational capability and driving the best available technology in a collaborative and innovative culture.
We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience. You'll have a bachelor's degree in aero, space, mechanical or mechatronic engineering, and experience with 3D CAD software and Product Lifecycle Management.
Key responsibilities will include developing digital and physical prototypes, creating CAD, CAM and FEA of products and assemblies, and managing product and project risks. You'll also have the opportunity to learn from internationally experienced engineers, lead our up-and-coming talent, and drive the best available technology.

Key Responsibilities- Develop digital and physical prototypes using CAD, augmented reality and 3D printing.
- Create CAD, CAM and FEA of products and assemblies before release to manufacture and certification.
- Manage product and project risks through active mitigations and coordinated engineering efforts.
- Conduct research on technical methods to tackle difficult engineering challenges, or on automated systems to increase our quality and productivity.
- Work with the onsite production team to oversee one of your designs through the manufacturing process, followed by 3D scanning verification.
- A bachelor's degree in aero, space, mechanical or mechatronic engineering.
- 3-5 years relevant aerospace, mechanical or mechatronics engineering industry experience.
- Experience with 3D CAD software and Product Lifecycle Management.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for innovation and growth.
