Details: ACT Treasury is seeking to fill one or more positions of Deputy Under Treasurer (DUT). The DUT role reports to the Under Treasurer and works collaboratively with other Executives across the ACT Public Service and with stakeholders inside and outside of government.
The Deputy Under Treasurer plays a key leadership role in providing high-level advice to the government in business streams covering policy related to budget, the economy, revenue, financial systems within government, procurement, housing policy, investments and borrowing and insurance matters.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and advice to the government on fiscal policy and economic matters
- Work collaboratively with other Executives across the ACT Public Service and with stakeholders inside and outside of government
- Develop and implement policies related to budget, the economy, revenue, financial systems within government, procurement, housing policy, investments and borrowing and insurance matters
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or experience in commerce, economics, law or a related field
- Strong policy and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $429,926 - $445,191 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant.
