Expert Building Consultant Position

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a skilled Senior Building Consultant to provide expert advice on building repairs.
  • As a key member of our national team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough building inspections and providing written reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct site inspections to identify defects and evaluate compliance with relevant regulations.
  2. Prepare detailed reports documenting causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation.
  3. Maintain knowledge of Government legislation, standards, and codes related to building and construction processes.
  4. Develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About You:

  • You have sound technical experience in building consultancy work (min 5+ years).
  • You possess strong commercial and business acumen.
  • You have excellent client relationships and communication skills.
  • You are highly motivated, responsible, and have sound judgement.
  • You have leadership aspirations or previous experience as a team leader.
  • You have experience documenting and leading diverse projects.
  • You can perform well in a fast-paced consulting environment with competing demands.
  • You have excellent technical report writing skills.

Requirements:

  • You have extensive technical building experience gained through a trade or site experience.
  • You are currently a licensed site supervisor/builder.
  • You have a methodical and efficient approach to managing your time.
  • You are well-presented, energetic, polite, and friendly.
  • You have excellent communication skills where you can interpret complex issues and distill them into actionable solutions.
  • You can produce high-quality technical reports using Word and Excel.
  • You hold a valid and current driver's license.
