Senior Design Documenter Job Opportunity

About the Role

This is a pivotal position for an experienced Senior Design Documenter to play a key role across various projects within our National design and estimating team.

  • Key responsibilities include producing comprehensive design packages for speculative and live project works, in accordance with project briefs.
  • The role also involves coordinating with third-party consultants and relevant authorities as required to obtain documentation in line with the project brief.
  • Effective communication and project standards coordination with clients, internal and external stakeholders are crucial.
  • Project administration processes for transmittals, submittals, design and construction models, shop drawings and schedules will be undertaken.
  • Ensuring documentation complies with specifications, building codes/regulations, standards and legislation, and contract requirements is essential.
  • Drafting standards and providing peer review of documentation are also key aspects of the role.

About You

We seek a highly skilled Senior Design Documenter with over 7 years of experience in professional design and construction environments.

  • Ideal candidates have a strong background in commercial projects, coupled with qualifications in Architecture, Building Design, or a relevant discipline.
  • Preparing accurate and clear drawing packages, guiding designs from concept through to construction.
  • Collaborating effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clients, building surveyors, and third-party consultants.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, articulating complex design ideas and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Revit, working with templates, using schedules, and amending families.
  • Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook to manage documentation and meet tight deadlines.
