Job Title:

Airport Security Manager Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to manage day-to-day operational activities at Melbourne Airport.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to drive performance management and staff development.

  • Coordinate daily operations and compliance activities.
  • Lead as the first escalation point for security-related concerns.
  • Conduct spot audits and support internal investigations.
  • Monitor staffing, rostering, and operational calendars.
  • Communicate operational changes and release SOPs/toolbox talks.
  • Promote customer service aligned with ISS and Melbourne Airport standards.
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain OH&S standards and practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven customer service excellence in aviation or similar environments.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Experience in managing operational compliance and performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
