Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vendor Management Specialist to join our team at Farm Credit Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring a fair and accountable business relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Selection and Negotiation: Lead the vendor selection process, identifying vendors based on organizational requirements, and negotiate contract terms with prospective and existing vendors.
  • Contract Management: Execute agreements with external suppliers below a certain threshold, and collaborate with legal counsel to ensure AgVantis' interests are protected in contractual agreements.
  • Vendor Performance Management: Periodically review Service Level Agreements with vendors, escalate issues, and enforce contractual provisions related to failure to meet service levels.
  • License Management: Monitor license utilization to ensure compliance with established licensing limits in vendor contracts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, marketing, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 6+ years in vendor management, procurement, or a related role, with experience leading selection processes for information technology solutions.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills, proficiency in vendor management software and tools, and excellent communication skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work a full 8-hour day, with occasional overtime as required to meet deadlines. Moderate travel with overnight stays may be necessary, depending on projects.
