National Security Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a key role within our organisation. The Senior Advisory Unit plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity and security of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Authorised Decision Maker function in policy writing, amendments, and conducting National Security Clearance interviews.
- Manage Security Incident reporting, aftercare, and risk assessments.
- Mentor Regional Vetting Officers state-wide, ensuring quality assurance on all National Security Clearances.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams developing counter-terrorism projects and initiatives.
- Undertake research, provide advice, and prepare documentation for the Security and Counter-Terrorism Command.
- Support administrative and organisational functions within the Prepare, Prevent, Protect Group.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, dealing with sensitive information.
- Represent the organisation at selected forums.
- A national security clearance to Negative Vetting Level 2 is required.
- A Diploma of Government Security or Certificate IV Government Security (Personnel Vetting) is highly regarded.
- Industry qualifications for undertaking this role can be obtained through further development and training.
- A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar position is highly valued.
- Honesty, trustworthiness, maturity, tolerance, resilience, and loyalty are essential character traits.
