About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Director to lead a brand new centre in Picton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, including overseeing the team of dedicated educators, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and nurturing strong relationships with families and the community.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and management skills, with experience in developing quality improvement plans, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements. They will also have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, parents, and children.

The centre is designed to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing curriculum and educational programs, as well as developing and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Hiring, training, and supervising staff members
  • Creating and implementing curriculum and educational programs
  • Maintaining communication with parents and families
  • Managing budgets and financial resources
  • Maintaining licensing and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborating with community organisations and partners
  • Conducting regular assessments and evaluations to ensure quality improvement
  • Resolving conflicts or issues that may arise within the centre

Requirements include:

  • Be a resident of Australia with full working rights
  • Hold a bachelor's degree, Diploma in early childhood education (OR ACECQA equivalent)
  • Experience in Director or Nominated Supervisor role is highly desirable
  • Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications
  • Current Employment Working with Children Check
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Two professional references
