Senior Technical Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Senior Technical Coordinator to lead our in-house drafting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team of drafters and ensuring the delivery of accurate and compliant construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Drafting Operations: Provide technical guidance and support to ensure high-quality results.
  • Oversee Construction Documentation: Ensure all drawings meet compliance requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with Departments: Align drawings with project specifications through collaboration with estimating, construction, and sales teams.
  • Monitor Workloads and Deadlines: Prioritize tasks and ensure consistent meeting of deadlines.
  • Liaise with External Consultants: Communicate effectively with engineers and certifiers when required.
  • Implement and Maintain Drafting Standards: Contribute to continuous process improvements and maintain best practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in residential drafting with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Proficiency: Revit skills with experience producing full construction documentation.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership or mentoring experience in drafting staff.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of the National Construction Code, local council regulations, and residential construction practices.
  • Skills: High attention to detail, excellent time management, and strong communication skills.
  • Desirable: Experience working with an investment or volume builder.
