Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Estimator to join our client's dynamic team due to an internal promotion. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates, collaborating with sales and project management teams, and communicating with suppliers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost breakdowns for materials and other expenses.
  • Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to develop competitive bids and proposals.
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • Monitor and analyze project costs against estimates and adjust future estimates as needed.
  • Assist in value engineering and alternative material selections to provide cost-effective solutions for clients.
About You
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction and/or building materials industry.
  • Knowledge of wall paneling, ceilings/partitions, interior lining, or joinery is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
