About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our multi-disciplinary disability services team at the Benevolent Society. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with our Senior Practitioners and other Allied Health Professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services to individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally appropriate assessment and interventions to individuals with disabilities who require language, literacy, voice, and specific eating, drinking, or total communication support.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and therapy plans to meet the unique needs of our clients.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and carers to deliver coordinated and effective services that meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.
  • Participate in support planning processes to ensure that services are tailored to meet the goals and needs of clients.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure that services are delivered in a person-centered and strengths-based way.

Requirements
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current driver's license (cars provided).
  • Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals.
  • Honesty and integrity, with a genuine respect for all people regardless of their disability, culture, age, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Experience in applying evidence-based practice frameworks to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical supports.
  • Ability to work in a flexible, person-centered, and strengths-based way across a diverse range of settings.
