Tunnel Site Engineer

The North East Link Project is a major infrastructure project in Melbourne, Victoria, aimed at improving the city's freeway network. The project involves the construction of twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges, which will reduce journey times and divert heavy vehicles away from local roads.
About the OpportunityWe are seeking experienced Site Engineers to join our SEM Tunnels team. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in tunneling and join an established team that is passionate about helping you develop your skillset. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site engineering support to assist in the achievement of the required objectives of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Development and management of daily cost reporting
- Providing on-site engineering support to assist in the achievement of the required objectives of the project
- Monitoring key construction requirements and implementing prompt corrective action if required, to ensure they are achieved in line with agreed specifications
- Site mobilisation and setup for SEM works, including plant procurement and installation experience and piling
- Writing method statements, risk assessments and preparing site records
- Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specification
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Mining Engineering
- Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage but not essential
- Specific experience of Tunneling/SEM excavation techniques
- Previous experience in similar role
