**Job Title:** Software Development Director
\This role is responsible for leading technical innovation behind industry-leading imaging solutions, AI-powered clinical platforms, and precision medicine technologies that set new standards in GI research.
\About the Role \You will lead a team of engineers to build solutions directly impacting IBD, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and other GI conditions treatment development.
\As a strategic technology leader, you will transform how clinical research is conducted through advanced technology solutions.
\Key Responsibilities \- Define technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for clinical platforms, AI solutions, and data systems.
- Architect enterprise-grade, cloud-native solutions maintaining GxP compliance and regulatory standards.
- Oversee technology stack selection, infrastructure choices, and integration strategies.
- Develop partnerships, oversee, and drive development of solutions for clinical research, including AI/ML models and computer vision platforms.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to identify technology opportunities that differentiate services and improve trial efficiency.
- 10+ years leading enterprise software development with deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, serverless), and modern development practices (DevOps, GitOps, infrastructure as code).
- Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production.
- Rapid delivery expertise: Proven track record of implementing engineering practices that dramatically increase development velocity while maintaining quality.
- Domain expertise: Background in life sciences, clinical research, or CRO environments, with strong preference for experience in medical imaging, gastroenterology research, or healthcare AI applications.
- Customer-obsessed mindset: Experience building customer-facing medical software products with demonstrated ability to translate clinical researcher needs into technical requirements.
- People leadership: Track record of building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams, with the ability to attract top talent and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Strategic thinking: Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
