**Job Opportunity:**

Avoid delays and ensure road construction projects stay on track by joining our team as a skilled Bitumen Tanker Maintenance Technician. This hands-on role involves working with specialized equipment essential to road surfacing operations.

As a Bitumen Tanker Maintenance Technician, your primary focus will be on ensuring the reliable and safe operation of bitumen tankers used in road construction and surfacing projects. Conduct routine inspections and diagnose mechanical faults, perform preventative maintenance on tank systems, including burners, pumps, valves, and hydraulic components. Carry out welding and fabrication repairs, monitor and calibrate temperature and pressure controls.

With a strong mechanical background and experience with burner systems and pipework, you'll thrive in this fast-paced environment.

About You:
  • Mechanical and hydraulic system knowledge
  • Experience with burner systems and pipework
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Understanding of hazardous materials handling (especially hot bitumen)
  • Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance
Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine maintenance of bitumen tanks and associated equipment
  • Inspecting and repairing heating systems that keep bitumen at the correct temperature
  • Servicing hydraulic systems used for loading/unloading bitumen
  • Checking insulation and structural integrity of tanks to prevent heat loss or leaks
