Research Analyst Position Overview

Our esteemed Australian Small Caps Research team is seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join at Associate level. This role offers substantial autonomy to develop and maintain coverage across various industries and business models, as well as the opportunity to engage directly with key corporate executives and client decision makers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain earnings models by leveraging expertise in accounting, finance, and economics.
  • Conduct research and write reports with a company or sector specific focus.
  • Develop relationships and interact with equity sales and trading, institutional clients, investor relations personnel, company management, and other industry participants.
  • Collaborate with domestic, regional, and global colleagues on research projects.
  • Generate ideas and actionable insights for clients.
  • Discover under-researched stocks that can positively impact small cap investors.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree or post-graduate qualification, demonstrating advanced numeracy and exceptional communication skills. Additionally, they should exhibit deep curiosity and a passion for learning, aptitude to think laterally and creatively, ability to work in small teams, and a proactive attitude.

Previous experience in financial services, with a proven skillset in constructing financial models, is also desired.
