Job Description

Centacare's early intervention service focuses on strengthening parenting capacity to improve family functioning and child safety for children under 18 years of age.

The Case Manager works in partnership with families and other professionals in a multidisciplinary team, providing collaborative therapeutic case management to address child safety risk factors and promote wellbeing.

This key worker coordinates practical and therapeutic in-home supports, as well as connections to community networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working collaboratively with families and other professionals
  • Providing therapeutic case management to address child safety risk factors

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications and skills:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation
  • Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work flexibly outside business hours when required

  • Experience working with vulnerable families with complex needs

  • Sound theoretical knowledge of childhood trauma and attachment factors
