We are seeking a seasoned Agile Coach and Transformation Leader to join our team at the Government of New South Wales. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving Agile adoption and transformation across our projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and Mentor Teams: Provide guidance and support to Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and cross-functional teams to define outcome-oriented product roadmaps, gather customer insights, and inform current and future product decisions.
  • Develop and Communicate Agile Vision: Create and promote a clear vision and roadmap for Agile adoption and maturity, fostering an open and collaborative culture of continuous improvement and addressing resistance to change.
  • Drive Transformation and Change: Coach, mentor, and support product teams to collaborate, research, and adopt new practices, delivering continuous improvements to products and systems, including efficiency, regulatory, and compliance initiatives.
  • Measure and Track Success: Define and track key performance metrics to measure the success of Agile adoption and delivery, using data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with Agile projects and transformation, providing guidance on how to handle impediments and roadblocks.
  • Process Improvement: Identify ways to continually improve throughput, flow, decision making, and status reporting, with a focus on flexibility, collaboration, and open communication.
  • Agile Ceremonies and Best Practices: Coach and support cross-functional teams in Agile ceremonies and best practices, including story mapping and writing robust user stories covering acceptance criteria and success metrics.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver Agile training programs and workshops for teams and stakeholders to uplift capability and knowledge, building organizational understanding of user-centered delivery and Agile approaches.
  • Industry Trends and Emerging Practices: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging Agile practices, adapting approaches to suit changing organizational needs.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in coaching and applying Agile practices across software development and digital projects of varying size and complexity.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to facilitate learning and capability uplift across multiple delivery teams and people with varied skills and experience.

Agile certifications with experience in Scrum and Kanban are preferred.
