Key Responsibilities

  • Implement clinical and care interventions delegated by Registered Nurses, as documented in resident care plans.
  • Assist residents with personal care and hygiene needs, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Prioritize workloads effectively and deliver care with compassion and kindness.
  • Respect residents' individual needs, privacy, dignity, choice, and self-esteem.
  • Commit to continuous quality improvement and professional development.
Requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act, and Quality of Care Principles.
  • Reliability to work to a roster with set shifts and basic computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
  • Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support (or currently working towards).
  • Previous work experience in the aged care sector is preferred but not essential.
  • Current NDIS clearance, proof of Rights to Work, and a current immunisation certificate (including influenza and vaccination against COVID-19, including booster).
