About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at KinCare in the VIC South Peninsula area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing domestic assistance to older people, ensuring their homes are safe and comfortable.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities, enhancing our customers' quality of life.
  • Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, as well as assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offering respite and emotional support to our customers and their families.
  • Providing social support and transport to appointments, ensuring our customers receive the care they need.

Requirements

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.
