**About the Role**

Southern Cross Care is seeking an experienced Aged Care Support Professional to join our Home Care team in the Mornington region, Victoria.

You will help older Australians live better for life by building relationships with clients, understanding their individual needs, and delivering tailored support with daily tasks, personal care, and mobility assistance.

Your responsibilities will include providing services such as personal care, cleaning, laundry, shopping, meal preparation, transport, and at-home exercise support to enable clients to live happy, healthy, and active lives.

As a key member of our team, you will enjoy exceptional learning opportunities and be supported to develop your skills and career. You will also receive a motor vehicle allowance for travel between clients and a full working toolkit, including a mobile phone.

**Key Requirements**

  • Certificate III in a relevant field (Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care, or Home and Community Care)
  • Current and unrestricted driver's licence, and own registered and insured car
  • Demonstrated experience in a personal carer role without direct supervision
  • Sound best practice personal care skills appropriate to the role
  • Good understanding of the requirements to support clients living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviours
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and their representatives
  • Basic cooking skills
  • Senior First aid certificate (desirable)
  • A basic understanding of aged care packages (desirable)

**What We Offer**

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus salary packaging benefits to maximise your take-home pay.
