This charming cafe in Port Melbourne transforms into a stunning event space in the evenings and weekends, hosting various events from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to manage all aspects of events, including private parties, corporate functions, and more. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their event requirements, ensuring their vision becomes a reality.

About the Role:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of events, including setup and breakdown of event spaces.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor with clientele.
  • Effectively communicate with suppliers, vendors, and team members to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage a small team, delegating tasks and ensuring everyone works together harmoniously.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail, from event planning to on-site execution.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event coordination or related roles.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling client inquiries and confidential information.
  • Hands-on approach, with the ability to effectively manage a small team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality events.
