Job Description:

A leading restoration service provider is seeking an experienced technician to join their team based in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to properties affected by water damage, fire damage, sewer incursion, and mould, installing and monitoring specialised restoration equipment, communicating with all parties involved, and conducting job-specific WHS paperwork and comprehensive on-site reporting.

Key responsibilities include inspecting and evaluating property damage, making use of tools and machinery designed specifically for water damage restoration and mould remediation works, cleanup and restoration services after water, fire, smoke, and mould damage, conducting contents inventory, demolition and structural stripping, observing WHS guidelines, and communicating with stakeholders when required.

Requirements for the role include possession of a current and valid driver's licence (or willingness to obtain one), IICRC certification, ability and willingness to travel, excellent organisational skills, a can-do attitude, and a can-work-with-others mindset.

  • Proficiency in mould removal and water/fire damage repair
  • Ability to set priorities and switch gears quickly and effectively
  • Superior abilities in both oral and written communication
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Outstanding work ethic coupled with a cheerful disposition

Working Conditions:

The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, with varying shifts including 10 hour, 12 hour, 8 hour, afternoon, day, evening, flexible hours, morning, night, on call, overtime, public holidays, and shift work.

Supplemental pay types include bonus, overtime pay, and performance bonus.
