Sexual Assault Support Counsellor - Join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of victim-survivors of sexual assault.

About the Role
  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in counselling, social work, psychology, or equivalent qualification, or occupational therapy with mental health accreditation is required for this challenging and rewarding role.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the impacts and dynamics of sexual assault and experience in trauma-informed counselling.
  • We are seeking an experienced professional who can work effectively with adult, young people and/or children who have been impacted by sexual assault and violence.
  • Responsibilities include crisis intervention, prioritising and managing crisis situations, as well as developing effective strategies to meet the diverse needs of clients.

  • Knowledge of Tasmanian legislation and policies pertaining to sexual assault, child protection and family violence is essential.
