About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Supervisor to join our team at Tomago Aluminium. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership of a team to achieve production, reliability, and continuous improvement targets.



Key Responsibilities

The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for:



  • Ensuring production activities are conducted safely in accordance with relevant standards and operating procedures.
  • Promoting safe behaviours and practices in accordance with Tomago's key philosophy of 'Mates looking after Mates'.
  • Engaging employees in identifying safety improvements and simplification/implementation of systems and processes to enable effectiveness and efficiency in production.
  • Providing day-to-day leadership, expertise, and direction to achieve objectives and deliver a quality service.
  • Promoting a culture of ownership and achievement through highly developed coaching skills.
  • Building and developing a competent, engaged, and committed team.
  • Communicating effectively with key business stakeholders.
  • Complying with Tomago Aluminium's Standard Operating Procedures and demonstrating our values of Teamwork, Achieve, and Care.


About You

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:



  • Commitment to Environment, Health, and Safety principles and systems.
  • Solid presentation, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise at all levels of organisation.
  • Relevant on-the-job experience.
  • Proven experience leading teams to achieve goals, building team morale, performance, and safety.
  • Certificate IV – Frontline Leadership (desirable).
  • Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to establish work priorities.
  • Customer-focused with commitment to Quality & CI principles.
  • Sound PC skills - Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Ability to work rotating shift roster (12hr 4x4).
