About the Regional Rail Project
The NSW Government is replacing the ageing regional rail fleet with new trains that improve safety, amenities, accessibility and reliability for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide operational assistance to teams with documentation, scheduling, communication and payroll processing.
- Purchasing: Lead purchasing activities including purchase orders and administration of payments and processing for the Regional Rail project.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of project-related documentation, including schedules, contracts and reports.
- Coordination: Serve as a liaison between departments and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
- Compliance: Ensure all administrative activities comply with company policies and project-specific regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare reports, meeting minutes and other documentation as required by operations teams.
- Logistics: Assist with logistics management, including coordinating meetings, site visits and travel arrangements for teams.
- Facilities Management: Support the management and upkeep of on-site facilities.
Requirements:
- Organisational Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
- Communication: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented: Display high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate ability to proactively identify and resolve administrative issues.
- Technical Proficiency: Show familiarity with office software (e.g., MS Office Suite), SAP or similar systems, and project management tools.
- Experience: Preferably prior experience in a similar administrative role within a large-scale project or transport sector.
