Job Title: Financial Operations Coordinator

Job Description:

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring the timely, effective and efficient completion of all bookkeeping functions. This includes bank and general ledger reconciliations, billing of clients, collection of accounts receivables, review of supplier invoices and payment of accounts payables.

As a key member of our team, you will build strong relationships with management to understand their strategic goals and provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.

Responsibilities include ensuring that company accounting policies and procedures are in compliance with applicable standards and regulations, collaborating with business teams to develop key performance indicators, tracking progress, and providing regular updates to the leadership team.

You will also prepare monthly financial reports and presentations to provide insights into business performance and support decision-making, review, prepare and process fortnightly payroll and staff reimbursements, manage and reconcile client funds held, and prepare and lodge monthly BAS, IAS, Payroll tax, workcover and other statutory requirements.

Other tasks or projects may be assigned as necessary or required by the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential qualifications include tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance, experience with Xero Accounting Software, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills and advanced Excel skills.

Strong knowledge of technical accounting and commercial acumen to apply these practically in a growing environment is also essential. You must be able to display practical application of this knowledge in bringing control and process improvement to processes fundamental to the effective operation of the finance function within the business.

Excellent organisational, analytical and conceptual skills and demonstrated experience in implementing change, including in financial policies, procedures and processes across the whole organisation, is desirable.
