Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Production, you will facilitate the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing production plans aligned with short to medium-term planning targets, ensuring compliance with site standards.

Work Schedule and Location

This role operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the Role
  • Be organized and prepared to undertake all assigned tasks by the Supervisor
  • Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets
  • Ensure that stope designs and drill and blast plans maximize ore extraction and minimize dilution
  • Lead and direct all members of the technical and operational mining team, ensuring clear communication of goals
  • Inform the Underground Manager of issues affecting safe and efficient production through regular communication
About You
  • Possess a BEng degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven underground hard rock mining experience, preferably in gold, with exposure to all production phases, including ventilation and drill and blast, ideally using longhole open stoping methods
  • Have a solid understanding of machinery and maintenance of mobile mechanical equipment
