Job Title: Accounts Payable Manager
The Accounts Payable Officer is a key member of the Finance team responsible for managing the accounts payable function. The successful candidate will have previous experience in the mining industry or professional services.
Job DescriptionTo perform this role successfully, you will be required to:
- Collate invoices to purchase orders and check for completeness and accuracy.
- Enter all accounts payable invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow up on any invoice variances with PO or other issues.
- Reconcile supplier statements in a timely manner.
- Generate monthly/weekly/daily creditor payments by cheque/EFT.
- Prepare end of month accounts payable reports.
- Respond to enquiries from suppliers and manage AP mail accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
To be successful in this position, you will ideally possess:
- Minimum of 2 years previous accounts payable experience with medium to large ERPs (SAP essential).
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience with processing invoices for a medium-sized organisation.
- Working knowledge of 3-way matching principal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a co-operative, team environment.
- Timely and accurate data entry skills.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel/Word/Outlook).
- Current WA driver's licence.
- Excellent supplier statement reconciliation skills.
- Ability to work independently and problem solve.
- A positive and professional attitude in dealing with all customers and the ability to effectively identify customer needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
