Job Opportunity: Laboratory and Clerical Assistant

  • Work as part of a clinical trials team, providing laboratory and clerical support during a busy period of research activities.
  • Handle blood, saliva, and other samples in the laboratory, following trial-specific procedures.
  • Process administrative and clerical work to support the needs of the research team clinic activities.

Working Hours and Conditions:

  • Part-time hours: 16-20 hours per week.
  • Flexibility with working pattern is required, although it must be within practice opening hours (weekdays 8am – 6:30pm).
  • May require occasional weekend work and extra hours during peak periods.

Contract Details:

  • Fixed-term contract for 2 years from September 2025.
  • Based at Windrush Medical Practice, Witney; occasional work may also be required at Eynsham Medical Practice.

Benefits:

  • £12.21 per hour.
  • Opportunity to join the NHS Pension Scheme.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess the ability to work flexibly as part of a clinical trials team, handling laboratory and clerical tasks while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to research protocols.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the capacity to work well under pressure.
