Permanent position Part time (48 hours per fortnight) covering Monday, Thursday and Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Managers and Administrative Workers Grade 1 Level 1 (HS1) Located at The Alfred Great staff benefits
The Department Ward 4 East is an acute general medical ward with 40 beds that cares for patients with both acute and chronic conditions.
It is a fast paced environment which requires the ward clerk at front of house to be dynamic and able to prioritise tasks and escalate in a timely way.
The Role Responsible for the coordination of communication, patient services and clerical functions as directed by the Nurse Manager of designated ward or department.
Word processing (as applicable) Facilitate communication within the ward Arrange and coordinate patient services Clerical duties Promote and maintain good customer relations with patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel.
If necessary to be away from desk area, ensure the registered nurse in charge of the ward is notified.
