Project Senior Planning and Scheduling Engineer: We seek a highly skilled professional to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for providing support and driving the successful execution of major capital projects.

About this role:

  1. Provide mentoring support to members of the planning and scheduling team.
  2. Responsible for all schedule, productivity and progress accountability to assigned work packages and engineering, procurement and construction suppliers; including proposal of preventive or mitigation measures for identified issues.
  3. Implement approved project planning, scheduling, productivity and progress procedures, processes and standards to work package and to relevant contractors; while considering contracting strategy and work locations.
  4. Responsible for the development, review and maintenance of work packages as part of the project's integrated master schedule (IMS).
  5. Reviewing, validating, and challenging work package contractor schedules, productivity and progress prior to their integration into the IMS, including alignment with the schedule key interface milestones, resources and activities codes structure.
  6. Performing schedule trending on key work package elements to help inform package leadership and package schedule forecasts.
  7. Coordinating with package team in schedule risk assessment and scenario analysis, and assisting with the development of risk mitigation or opportunity realization within the work package.
  8. Responsible for planning, development, and maintenance of integrated resources loaded schedules in Primavera.
  9. Analyzing and validating the project near and critical path activities, and providing recommendations to optimize the execution strategy or recover schedule delays.
  10. Responsible for enforcing approved management of change practices for all changes to the schedule as requested for nominated work scope.
  11. Working with cost control on progress and resource reporting, monitoring, and analysis related to the work package.
  12. Articulating schedule plan and basis of schedule; as well as the planning, scheduling, productivity, and progress section of the project execution plan.
  13. Implementing the schedule planning and development guidelines.
  14. Generating schedule reports, including variance and trending, for review by the work package manager and others.
