Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills to join our team as Deputy Facility Manager. This part-time role involves supporting and assisting the Facility Manager in overseeing the facility's operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical care, maintaining standards, and fostering a positive work environment. The successful candidate will be available on-call as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Facility Manager in overseeing facility operations and ensuring compliance with SCC policies and procedures, applicable standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Assist in the delivery of high-quality clinical care and maintain standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Be available on-call as needed to provide support and guidance to staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a relieving leadership/supervisory role.
  • Possession of a current First Aid Certificate.
  • 5 years' experience in caring for the aged or health-related area.
  • Good sensitivity to and understanding of the aspirations and needs of the elderly.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills.
  • Good interpersonal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to play an active and positive role as part of our Care Team, providing quality care and support to frail aged people.
  • Numeracy skills – reconciliations and statistics.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of the elderly in a residential care setting.

Desirable:

  • Sound understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation as it applies to Aged Care Facilities.
  • Sound understanding of, and ability to correctly apply, relevant principles of the Fair Work Act.
  • Leadership or management courses.
  • AN ACC Training.
