Job Title: Co-ordinator Junior & Intermediate Rowing Squad Programs

 

The Main Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to lead the administration and management of our Junior & Intermediate Squad Programs. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating training times, coaches and equipment allocation for Year 8/9 and Year 9/10 crews.

In this role, you will oversee crew selection and maintain progress records, monitor student wellbeing and coordinate support services, schedule training times and manage boat allocations, engage with parents, students, and coaches regularly, and support and guide coaches to enhance performance.

You will also be responsible for recruiting new rowing talent, especially at Year 8, planning rowing camps and attending championships, ensuring coaching consistency across programs, assisting with coach education, performance reviews, and recruitment, and promoting the rowing program within the school and community.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

- A strong track record of coaching experience and/or school rowing coordination, preferably at a high level.

- Proven results as a coach or coordinator, with a focus on developing young rowers.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.

- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

- A commitment to child safety and well-being, with a strong understanding of the principles of safe working practices.
