Cloud Architect

About the Role:

As a cloud architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing robust cloud architectures for safeguarding critical data and assets. You will contribute to the overall global enterprise cloud architecture, providing expertise and guidance on best practices across all of our business and technology groups.

This is a senior position that requires exceptional multitasking skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teams. You will lead a team of infrastructure engineers and be directly involved in priority setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership: Design, deliver, and manage engineering approaches, standards, and tooling for relevant platforms
  • Platform Governance: Govern, design, deliver, and support engineering tooling platforms that drive best practice and agile ways of working for service management
  • DevOps Expertise: Act as platform owner for DevOps tooling and platforms, ensuring prioritization reflects business and technology strategy and goals
  • Technical Expertise: Provide engineering expertise for appropriate products to contribute to all services, including ownership of backlogs (where appropriate)
  • Incident Resolution: Act as a resolver group, participating in incident and problem management for in-scope services
  • Partnerships: Develop strong relationships with partners to drive value
  • Process Improvement: Realize opportunities to simplify and consolidate product solutions
  • Automation and Instrumentation: Drive the optimum level of automation and instrumentation of the development lifecycle for in-scope products
  • Vendor Management: Manage third-party relationships (where appropriate), licensing, contract renewals, and vendor sourcing options
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with product communities and customers
  • Security and Compliance: Adopt continuous DevSecOps improvements, adhere to security and privacy standards, policies, and frameworks
  • Innovation: Strive to drive innovation and provide solutions to differing use cases across the area
