Data Services Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Data Services Specialist to improve the use of customer core applications, enhance processes, and provide data-informed insights across all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient management of customer databases and core applications.
  • Database and systems administration, integration, and management.
  • Support customers by providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Respond to and resolve support requests according to agreed processes and procedures.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of data systems and integrations for effective knowledge transfer and future maintenance.
  • Maintain and update PowerApps, custom queries, and reports.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and subcontractors as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of education systems and processes.
  • Basic experience with data and databases, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents features and capabilities.
  • Ability to write and maintain scripts.
  • Awareness of web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Points:
  • Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with other Microsoft technologies, such as Dynamics 365, SQL Server, and Visual Studio, or experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
