We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our Foundation and Community Team at Penrith Rugby League.

Panthers Group is a leading entertainment and leisure provider with a strong commitment to community involvement. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial operations of our organization run smoothly.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing financial support for Foundation & Community events as required;
  • Processing accounts and managing incoming/outgoing payments in accordance with financial policies and procedures;
  • Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording bank transactions;
  • Reconciling bank accounts for multiple entities and ledgers;
  • Preparing cash flow documentation;
  • Collaborating with the finance team to facilitate month-end and year-end close;
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register;
  • Processing other transactional data as required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 1-2+ years of previous experience in an accounts clerk role;
  • Certificate 4 or Diploma of accounting and/or completed 1-2 years of an accounting qualification with a view to completing while working;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Intermediate computer skills and thorough administration practices;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
