Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute civil engineering designs for various infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation addressing specific design challenges.
  • Collaborate on multi-disciplinary engineering projects and feasibility assessments.
  • Support the efficient management of civil engineering costs by reviewing and approving capital cost estimates.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and tenders, including estimating design hours.
  • Familiarize yourself with standard deliverables and workflows within the discipline.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities to guide small teams effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships across teams, the organization, and with clients.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven track record in a Senior Civil Engineer position.
  • Extensive experience in earthworks, road construction, and drainage within relevant sectors such as mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to design mining facilities, with skills in conceptualizing layouts and optimizing designs.
  • Proficiency in design software such as 12D, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is highly advantageous.
  • Chartered status is a valuable asset, though not mandatory.
