AOD Counsellor

We are seeking a skilled AOD Counsellor to join our dynamic team at Uniting Limited. As a Counsellor, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of participants, providing individual and group therapeutic interventions to assist them in establishing healthier lifestyles free of problematic alcohol and drug use.
The role will also involve delivering evidence-based individual and group therapeutic interventions, as well as supporting participants to avoid and better manage relapse. You will have the opportunity to work with adults aged 18 plus, as well as some additional scope to deliver youth-specific programs.

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant health and welfare tertiary qualification, such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Allied Health Sciences. You will also bring with you:
- Experience in working with AOD or dual-diagnosis clients
- Experience providing drug and alcohol assessment/counselling activities
- Group work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with case formulation, development of Individual Treatment Plans and discharge planning
- Capacity to facilitate a range of therapeutic and psycho-educational groups
