Material Tester Job Opportunity

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Tester to join our team. As a Material Tester, you will be responsible for evaluating and testing raw materials to be used in the manufacture of conveyor belt.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering environments, with a strong background in material testing and evaluation. You will also have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.

 

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Hands-on preparation of belt samples
  • Physical testing of rubber samples
  • Carry out Instrument calibration
  • Preparation and testing of vulcanized test sheets

 

As a Material Tester, you will work closely with our quality management team to ensure that all materials meet the required specifications. You will also be responsible for carrying out ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering environments (desirable)
  • 2 years working in a material testing laboratory
  • Experience with testing and evaluation of rubber compounds and rubber chemicals
  • 2 years' experience working with a quality management system/structure
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
